At my age!
Books, of course. Many authors feel that books are like babies. No one worries about or coos over them more than the parent and they take about nine months to produce. Anyway, I have two out this year and it transpires, belatedly, that they are going to be produced on the same day.
Positively Teenage was originally due to appear in February 2018 and The Teenage Guide to Life Online in February 2019. Then PT moved to April. And TTGLO moved to November 2018. Then PT moved to May. And TTGLO moved to June. And as of yesterday, TTGLO has moved to May. Both of them will be now be born on May 24th.
All of which shenanigans makes them not at all like babies. But I do feel as though I’ve been through labour already.
It’s not easy to have twins nor ideal to have two books out on the same day so I’m going to need your help. I don’t like shouting about my books (or babies) and, if you ever see me do it, know that it’s because I have to. Also because if my books don’t sell I don’t get to eat and I’m losing enough weight already with all my running and cycling and rowing. (Actually, I exaggerate: the rowing machine – or, as the German manufacturers so gloriously call it, the Rudermaschine – is still in its box. But there’s a reason for that, which you don’t need to know.)
So, please help me shout.
