I’m always saying that many adults are too negative and judgemental about screens etc. Here’s another Parenting for a Digital Future article that agrees with me and highlights some of
the research. Please do read it.
My book, Life Online, details what I think we all need to know to have a healthy life online and with our screens of whatever sort. I list and explain the positives and the negatives, using good science where it exists and my understanding of psychology and human nature to fill in the gaps and help analyse it. It’s comprehensive, fair, reassuring and helpful. And it may be called “Teenage Guide” but that’s only because I write teenage guides. This is actually for adults just as much. In fact, perhaps more.
Teenagers, buy it for your parents, grandparents and any other adults you feel don’t understand the value of screens – especially those you think are using their own screens too much….
